my jump rope team is performing this coming monday, march 10 at the institute here in capital city. the festivities begin at 7, i believe, but we might be slated as the last act.

happy valentine's day

someone was shoveling the snow off the stairs as i walked to work. lost in thought i passed by unaware and then thought "i should've said thank you."
and then
i heard a voice straight out of a public service announcement
saying, "thank you for working so hard to keep us safe."

and i was glad there was at least one nice person today. too bad it wasn't me.
